In a former life, Nick was lead singer in The Candyskins. Now he has a loyal following locally in Oxford, as well as nationally and beyond, as a children's singer-songwriter. He combines a rare songwriter's knack for getting to the meat of a theme in a few memorable words and finding just the right melodic hook to carry them, with a children's author's ability to see the world from a child's eye-view.
Nick has animated several of his songs on YouTube with the help of his son Burt (they're pure catnip for mesmerising babies!), and now we're delighted to say that some of those songs - and perhaps more besides - are to be made into books.
